Calculate your IFTA fuel tax liability per state. Enter your average MPG, miles driven, and fuel purchased in each state to see what you owe or are credited.
State Entries
The International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) requires truckers operating in multiple states or provinces to report fuel usage and pay taxes based on miles driven in each jurisdiction.
The formula is simple: For each state, divide the miles you drove by your average MPG to get taxable gallons. Subtract the gallons you actually purchased in that state. If the result is positive, you owe tax. If negative, you get a credit.
Tax rates vary by state and change quarterly. This calculator uses current rates — always verify with your state's IFTA office before filing.
